BIOGRAPHY

Hello! I'm Greg Perler, and I've been a film editor for over 30 years.

Shortly after I graduated from New York University film school in 1986 I moved to Los Angeles. I was hired as an assistant editor on Disney's Beauty & The Beast, which became the first of only two animated films to be nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award. I was promoted to associate editor during this production.

My feature-animation credits include A Goofy Movie, Tarzan,

the Oscar-nominated Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the WereRabbit, Despicable Me,

the Oscar-nominated Despicable Me 2, Sing, Sing2, as well as the

Sing Thriller short streaming on Netflix.

My live-action credits include 102 Dalmatians, Enchanted, the Hanna Montana / Miley Cyrus 3D Concert Film, Hop, and the Razzie-winning The Love Guru. In television I edited two telefilms based on the classic Eloise At The Plaza books, and was an editor on the first season of the highly-rated USA Network series Royal Pains.

Since completing Sing 2 I've been working as an additional editor for friends and colleagues on other Illumination films such as Migration, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Despicable Me 4

I'm currently in Paris editing Minions 3 for a July 2026 release.
